Dive-site story
Submerged in the sheltered bay of San Fruttuoso within the Portofino Marine Protected Area, this site centers around a celebrated bronze statue created by sculptor Guido Galletti. Placed on the seabed to honor lost mariners and pioneer diver Dario Gonzatti, the monument stands with arms raised toward the surface. The surrounding seafloor features a mix of rocky outcrops, sand patches, and Posidonia oceanica seagrass beds typical of the Ligurian coast.
