Dive-site story
Situated off the coast of Capo Vaticano near Santa Maria di Ricadi, La Galea consists of large granite formations and scattered boulders rising from a sandy seabed. The topography features crevices, channels, and overhangs covered in encrusting sponges and bryozoans. Divers follow rock fingers that extend into deeper water, where pelagic hunters frequently patrol the interface between the granite reef and the open sea.
