Dive-site story
Located off Capo Taormina along Sicily's eastern coast, this archaeological site features ancient marble column drums and monolithic blocks resting on a sandy and rocky seabed. The remains originate from a Roman-era shipwreck transporting architectural cargo across the Mediterranean. Today, the carved stones serve as artificial shelter for regional marine life, set against a backdrop of rocky boulders, Posidonia oceanica meadows, and clear Ionian water.
