Dive-site story
Set along the limestone cliffs of the Capo Gallo Nature Reserve near Palermo, Grotta dell'Olio is a spacious marine cavern characterized by large chambers and dramatic light effects. Divers enter through a wide submerged opening that leads into a cavernous interior where natural light filters through openings above. The rocky floor gives way to sand patches, while the cavern walls host encrusting sponges, bryozoans, and crevices sheltering nocturnal Mediterranean species.
