Dive-site story
Le Macchine is a freshwater wall dive situated along the rugged Moregallo shoreline of Lake Como. The site gets its name from multiple sunken automobile chassis resting at various drop-off shelves down the sheer underwater cliff. Divers encounter sharp thermoclines, deep silt layers, and low ambient light that demand precise buoyancy control and solid orientation skills.
Steep limestone wall dropping directly into the lake abyss
Historical car wrecks wedged across multiple rocky ledges
Atmospheric cold-water deep dive environment requiring good buoyancy
