Dive-site story
Resting upright on a seabed of light sand off the northeastern Sardinian coast, this French steam cargo ship was torpedoed during the Second World War. The hull remains largely intact with encrusting sponges and gorgonians covering the metal plates. Divers typically descend along a shot line directly onto the midship structure, navigating around the intact stern, propeller, and open cargo holds.
Well-preserved stern assembly and intact rudder section
Expansive cargo holds colonised by schools of damselfish and anthias
Lush covering of sponges and yellow cluster anemones across the steel decking
