Dive-site story
The stern section of the Greek cargo ship Pavlos V lies upright on an open seabed off the coast of Trapani. Sunk in the late 1970s following a fire, the wreckage has developed into a focal point for Mediterranean marine life surrounded by expanse of sand and posidonia. Divers can explore the prominent rudder and propeller assembly, machinery spaces, and deck structures that host dense schools of fish.
Massive exposed propeller and steering gear resting clear of the seafloor
Schools of damselfish and anthias swirling over the deck machinery
Occasional pelagic predators patrolling the open blue around the structure
