Dive-site story
Located along the limestone cliffs of the Capo Caccia peninsula in northwestern Sardinia, Pozzo Cave features a vertical karst shaft that opens into submerged chambers. Ambient light filters through upper fissures, creating striking shafts of illumination against the white and yellow limestone walls. The cavern floor holds boulders and crevices where Mediterranean macro life and nocturnal fauna shelter during daylight hours.
Sunlight beams piercing downward through the natural overhead chimney shaft
Walls carpeted in yellow encrusting anemones and red coral traces
Spotted moray eels and congor eels residing in rock fractures along the cavern floor
