Dive-site story
Located along the steep southern cliffs of the Portofino Marine Protected Area, Punta Torretta offers classic Ligurian wall and boulder diving. The rocky spur slopes outward into terraces and vertical drops adorned with colorful sponges and sea fans. Because the zone enjoys strict marine protection, resident fish show little fear of divers, making encounters remarkably close and frequent.
Steep coralligenous drop-offs hosting dense fans of red gorgonians
Sheltered crevices and swim-throughs sheltering large dusky groupers and moray eels
Frequent flybys from schools of pelagic dentex and barracuda in open water
