Dive-site story
Located along the eastern shore of Lake Como near Perledo, Riva di Gittana is a classic northern Italian lake dive centered on an old submerged tanker truck (autobotte). Entering from the rocky shoreline, divers descend down a steep, silt-covered slope that drops into cold, dark water where the vehicle rests upright on the incline. Good buoyancy control is essential here to prevent disturbing the fine sediment and spoiling the visibility.
