Dive-site story
Located off the coast of Marettimo within the Egadi Islands Marine Protected Area, Scoglio Spandillo features a dramatic rocky pinnacle surrounded by sheer drop-offs and stepped ledges. Vertical rock walls are densely colonized by sea fans, while deeper crevices provide shelter for Mediterranean predators and crustaceans. Currents often sweep past the pinnacle, drawing pelagic hunters in from the open sea.
Steep walls covered in red gorgonian sea fans
Frequent encounters with schooling pelagics off the pinnacle edge
