Dive-site story
Situated along the limestone headlands of the Capo Caccia marine reserve in northwestern Sardinia, this site centers around a deep fissure running perpendicular to the cliff face. Divers follow a vertical-walled canyon sculpted into the karst rock, where shaded overhangs provide habitat for shade-tolerant invertebrates before the corridor opens out toward deeper sea floor.
Steep limestone walls framing a natural corridor through the seabed
Sheltered overhangs colonized by bryozoans and red sea fans
Cavities and crevices sheltering Mediterranean morays and spiny lobsters
