Dive-site story
Located on the shallow sand flats south of Taketomi Island within the Sekisei Lagoon, this site takes its name from massive, potato-shaped Turbinaria and Porites coral formations rising out of white sand. The topography features gentle sandy expanses interrupted by colossal coral heads that shelter nursery schools of juvenile reef dwellers, cleaning stations, and macro life. Calm waters and gentle depths make it an easygoing dive for photographers seeking ambient sunlight and relaxed exploration.
