Dive-site story
Situated along the Miyagi Coast seawall in Chatan, Okinawa, this popular shore dive is accessed via public concrete steps leading directly into the East China Sea. The underwater terrain transitions from shallow limestone hardpan into vast, undulating fields of soft leather corals that carpet the seafloor. Gently sloping reef fingers and occasional sandy patches provide shelter for a dense population of reef fish and macro critters.
