Dive-site story
Situated directly beneath the film set of Popeye Village on Malta's northwest coast, Anchor Bay provides sheltered diving across a rocky seabed dotted with large boulders, sandy channels, and posidonia meadows. Divers can enter from a concrete jetty and follow the reef wall along the northern cliffline into a large dome-ceilinged cavern, often referred to as Scorpion Cave, where surfacing reveals an air pocket and light beams refracting through the entrance.
