Dive-site story
Formed by collapsed limestone caverns over millennia, the Blue Hole at Dwejra Point stands as Gozo's most renowned dive. Starting in a sheltered vertical rock pool carved directly into the shore shelf, divers descend through clear water before passing beneath a wide natural archway out into the open sea. Once outside, routes branch toward the massive submerged boulder field left by the fallen Azure Window, the Coral Gardens shelf, or a vertical fissure known as The Chimney.
Natural archway connecting the sheltered pool directly to the open Mediterranean
Expansive underwater boulder field created by the historic Azure Window collapse
The Chimney swim-through, a tight vertical fissure ascending to shallower reef
Coral Gardens plateau hosting diverse macro life and schooling fish
