Dive-site story
Situated along the dramatic limestone cliffs of western Gozo near Dwejra, this massive natural cavern opens out into the open Mediterranean. Divers explore a broad, semicircular entrance that leads into a recessed chamber where light filters down from the surface. The cavern ceiling and walls feature encrusting sponges, bryozoans, and marine growth, while the surrounding drop-offs give way to sandy patches and scattered boulders.
Expansive cavern mouth framed by sheer limestone cliff walls
Walls carpeted in colourful sea squirts, lace corals, and encrusting sponges
Photogenic blue water views when looking back toward the open sea from inside the recess
