Dive-site story
The MV Karwela is a scuttled passenger ferry resting upright on a sandy slope off the southern coast of Gozo. Stripped of hazardous materials before sinking, the wreck features open decks and an intact central staircase popular with photographers. Divers typically enter from the rocky shore at Ras il-Ħobż and navigate across the reef drop-off to locate the vessel.
