Dive-site story
Located on the northern coast of Gozo near the historic salt pans, this shallow natural bay provides a relaxed shore dive characterized by sandstone rock formations, extensive Posidonia seagrass beds, and open sandy channels. Divers enter via a gently sloping pebbly beach or rocky ledge, following underwater gullies out toward small overhangs and swim-throughs that shelter cryptic Mediterranean sea life. Because the bay is sheltered from southerly winds, it frequently serves as a training ground and night-diving destination when outer northern reefs experience heavy swell.
Scenic labyrinth of gullies, rock plateaus, and shallow swim-throughs
Expansive Posidonia oceanica meadows hosting juvenile fish and seahorses
Easy shore entry ideal for long, relaxed navigation and night dives
