Dive-site story
Sunk deliberately in 1987 as an artificial reef off the northwest coast of Mauritius, this Japanese trawler sits upright on a flat sandy seabed. Algae, soft corals, and sea anemones encrust the hull and superstructure, providing shelter for reef predators. Divers can inspect the exterior deck hardware and wheelhouse, while open holds allow ambient light to illuminate the interior compartments.
