Dive-site story
Bathala Thila is an oval-shaped submerged pinnacle situated in North Ari Atoll. The reef plateau slopes down to deep sandy channels, carved with steep drop-offs and undercut ledges lined with soft corals. Incoming tides bring pelagic hunters right to the edge of the reef, making it a classic current-swept pinnacle dive.
Deep overhangs crowded with hanging sea fans and vibrant sponges
Frequent patrolling grey reef sharks cruising along the upcurrent point
Dense schools of blue-striped snappers and fusiliers hovering over the plateau
