Dive-site story
Fish Head, locally known as Mushimasmigili Thila, is an offshore pinnacle and one of the earliest designated marine protected areas in the Maldives. Steep drop-offs, deep undercut caves, and horizontal overhangs line the perimeter of this submerged seamount. Swept by oceanic currents, the site functions as a magnet for schooling pelagic predators and resident reef sharks.
Congregations of grey reef sharks patrolling the upcurrent corner of the reef
Expansive undercut ledges decorated with seafans and soft corals
Dense schools of blue-striped snappers and jacks hovering along the plateau
