Dive-site story
Arrecife de la Blanquilla forms part of the northern sector of the Veracruz Reef System National Park, situated just offshore from the city of Veracruz. The site is characterized by an extensive carbonate platform with gentle outer slopes where stony coral structures mingle with gorgonians and sponges. Because the reef sits relatively close to coastal currents and port traffic, water clarity fluctuates depending on wind patterns and seasonal river runoff.
