Dive-site story
Cenote Nayah is a semi-open sinkhole situated near the village of Pixyah in the state of Yucatán. Divers enter the water via wooden steps descending into an expansive cavern opening illuminated by strong sunbeams. Below the surface, the cavern drops quickly past enormous submerged limestone boulders, ancient speleothems, and a steep silt slope that leads toward an extensive flooded cave system.
