Dive-site story
Situated along the sheltered granite coastline of the Espiritu Santo archipelago in the Sea of Cortez, this site marks a former haul-out area for California sea lions. Submerged granite boulders tumble down to a gently sloping white sand floor, creating swim-throughs and crevices occupied by macro life, morays, and schooling reef fish. While the primary rookery in the region has relocated farther north to Los Islotes, passing sea lions still frequent the shallow rocky ledges.
