Dive-site story
Mak Cantik is an offshore submerged reef south of Pulau Redang. The site features a coral-covered mound rising from a sandy seabed, characterized by expansive beds of sea anemones and branching hard corals. Because the pinnacle sits exposed in open water, water movement often attracts schooling pelagics and active reef predators circling the crest.
Vast carpet of sea anemones hosting diverse species of anemonefish across the reef top
Schools of yellowtail barracuda and jacks hovering in open water around the perimeter
Sheltered crevices harboring resting nurse sharks, moray eels, and blue-spotted ribbontail rays
