Dive-site story
Located off Sipadan Island in Sabah, Staghorn Crest features expansive hard coral gardens that give way to a steep oceanic wall. Divers drift along shallow fields of branching staghorn coral before tracking the reef edge where pelagics and resident sea turtles cruise in the blue. Tidal flows bring clean open-ocean water across the reef top, creating ideal conditions for both schooling reef fish and cruising predators.
Extensive colonies of branching staghorn corals on the upper reef flat
Frequent encounters with resting and cruising sea turtles along the drop-off
Occasional schools of bumphead parrotfish grazing the shallow hard coral cover
