Dive-site story
Slag Baardmannetje is a shore dive entry point located along the northern perimeter of the Oostvoornse Meer. Divers step into a sheltered, non-tidal brackish lake environment characterized by sandy flats, clay terraces, and patches of aquatic weed beds. The bottom slopes gradually from the shoreline before dropping into deeper clay layers where small wrecks and artificial structures have been placed over the years.
Encounters with stocked rainbow and brown trout hunting along the shallow weed lines
Exploration of sunken training platforms and small submerged objects along the drop-off
Tide-free shore diving allowing flexible planning year-round
