Dive-site story
Situated along the Vinkeveense Plassen, Zandeiland 4 is a premier inland diving destination in the Netherlands. The site developed around former peat extraction pits and sand dredging zones, leaving behind layered peat walls alongside intentionally submerged training objects, small boat hulls, and artificial platforms. Underwater guide lines link various navigation routes across the bottom. Divers navigate through shifting thermoclines that reveal distinctive freshwater ecology and rugged submerged topography.
