Dive-site story
In the Poor Knights Islands Marine Reserve off the Tutukaka Coast, this site merges the sheer vertical face of Meditation Wall with the exposed corner terrain of Brady's Corner. Submerged volcanic basalt drops into deep water, encrusted with jewel anemones, sponges, and bryozoans. Driven by the East Auckland Current, nutrient-rich water draws schools of planktivorous fish along the face while pelagic species cruise the open water. Divers can drift the cliff contours or check rock fractures and ledges sheltering cryptic organisms.
