Dive-site story
Barco Viejo is a shallow wreck site situated within the Bocas del Toro archipelago. The submerged remains of the vessel rest on a sandy seafloor flanked by patch reefs and seagrass beds. Over time, sponges, brain corals, and sea fans have colonized the hull and structural beams, turning the wreckage into an artificial reef sheltering small Caribbean fish and macro critters.
