Dive-site story
Lying on an inclined sandy slope off the eastern shore of Tangat Island, this small World War II Japanese auxiliary vessel rests with its bow close to the surface and stern angled downward. The shallow profile allows ample natural light to illuminate the hull, making it accessible for newer divers and underwater photographers. Coral colonies have encrusted the exterior plating, attracting localized schools of reef fish around the steering gear and structural ribs.
