Dive-site story
Kimud Shoal is an isolated offshore seamount rising out of deep water east of Malapascua Island. The submerged plateau features steep drop-offs on all flanks that plunge straight into the open blue, creating an exceptional staging ground for pelagic encounters. While historically known as a seasonal tracking point for schooling hammerheads, the site has also become a frequent cleaning station for pelagic thresher sharks that ascend from the depths around dawn.
