Dive-site story
Located along the coast of Big Ligid Island in the Davao Gulf, this site features a series of underwater cavern openings and swim-throughs carved into a limestone wall. Ocean currents funneled through the channel bring nutrient-rich waters that nourish dense clusters of sea fans, sponges, and whip corals around the cave mouths. Inside the overhangs and recesses, nocturnal marine life shelters during the day, while pelagic species occasionally cruise past in the blue.
