Dive-site story
Maniguin Island, also locally referenced as Hammerhead Island, rises as an isolated volcanic outpost in the open waters southwest of Mindoro and northwest of Panay. Vertical coral-encrusted drop-offs plunge into deep oceanic trenches, drawing schools of pelagics along with reef predators. Because the island sits exposed in the open sea, dive operations visit primarily during calm weather windows via liveaboards or dedicated charters from Antique and Boracay.
