Dive-site story
Located off Malapascua Island, this sunken seamount drops steeply into the abyss from a wide flat plateau. Divers descend along the designated mooring line in early morning light to position themselves along the drop-off ledge. Pelagic thresher sharks rise from deep water onto the cleaning stations scattered along the plateau edge to rid themselves of parasites, while devil rays and pelagic rays frequently cruise past in the open blue.
