Dive-site story
Nalusuan Island Marine Sanctuary is an established marine reserve situated in the Olango Channel off the coast of Mactan. Protected for decades, the site features an extensive shallow coral reef flat that gives way to a sloping wall covered in hard corals, gorgonians, and soft sponges. Due to strictly enforced no-fishing regulations, resident fish populations are remarkably dense and accustomed to divers, often swarming around the wooden jetty and shallow reef crest.
