Dive-site story
Positioned within the Luis Peña Channel Natural Reserve off the northwest coast of Culebra, Carlos Rosario Wall features a fringing reef structure that drops into a spur-and-groove coral wall. Dense stands of elkhorn and mountainous star corals line the crest, giving way to steep mini-walls punctuated by sand chutes, crevices, and ledges. Because the area has long enjoyed marine reserve protection, fish populations thrive across the coral formations, with regular sightings of pelagic cruisers drifting past the drop-off into deeper channel waters.
Vigorous coral relief with dramatic spur-and-groove formations and vertical mini-walls
Protected marine reserve status encouraging healthy hard coral coverage and invertebrate diversity
Frequent encounters with foraging sea turtles along the shallow reef flats and overhangs
