Dive-site story
Located off the coast of Praslin in the inner Seychelles islands, Whale Rock is a massive granite boulder formation rising from a sandy seabed. Divers navigate through large fissures, overhangs, and swim-throughs sculpted from the granitic rock, where soft corals, sea fans, and sponges encrust sheltered recesses. The current sweeping across the formation attracts pelagic hunters and schooling reef fish, while the surrounding sandy floor provides resting grounds for rays and reef sharks.
