Dive-site story
Gröne Jägaren is a seventeenth-century armed Swedish vessel that exploded and sank in 1676 during naval operations in the Stockholm archipelago. Resting on the seabed within the Dalarö maritime heritage area, the wooden hull structure remains remarkably preserved by the brackish, shipworm-free waters of the Baltic Sea. Divers exploring the site will find exposed frames, deck beams, ballast piles, and several cast-iron cannons lying across the wreckage.
