Early salvage operations dismantled the upper decks and cannons, yet the lower oak frames, keel sections, and stone ballast mound remain on the Baltic seabed. Low-salinity archipelago water prevents wood-boring shipworms from consuming the timber, leaving the centuries-old wreckage intact. Divers must maintain strict trim control above the fine bottom silt.
