Dive-site story
Alhambra Rock is an isolated offshore submerged pinnacle in the eastern Gulf of Thailand, rising from a sandy seabed up toward the surface. Because it sits far off the Rayong coastline without sheltering landmasses, it functions as a primary gathering point for pelagic predators and dense schools of baitfish. The granite boulder structure features steep drop-offs covered in sea whips, soft corals, and massive barrel sponges.
Open-ocean pinnacle attracting large schooling pelagics
Expansive fields of sea whips and large barrel sponges
Periodic sightings of passing whale sharks and hunting trevallies
