Dive-site story
Sunk in the 1930s following a boiler explosion, this German freighter rests upright on a flat seabed off the Sattahip coastline. Decades submerged have collapsed the superstructure, exposing the engine block, boiler assemblies, and scattered hull plates as an artificial reef. Lighter diver traffic compared to inner Pattaya wrecks allows encrusting marine life to colonize the metal framework, while schools of juvenile fish shelter in the ribs and attract pelagic predators from the open channel.
Intact engine block and twin boilers overgrown with soft corals and hydroids
Resident barracuda schools hovering over the wreckage
Macro life sheltered among rusted iron plates and deck debris
Quieter dive conditions than nearshore Pattaya sites
