Dive-site story
The Harruby (often written Haruby) is a sunken liveaboard wreck located off the shores of Koh Racha Yai. Intentionally sunk after an on-board fire to create an artificial reef, the wooden vessel now sits upright on a sandy seabed. Over time, the wreck has deteriorated into an open structure that offers easy swim-throughs for wreck-certified divers and serves as an oasis for marine life in the surrounding sand flats.
Open wooden hull structure covered in hard and soft corals
Dense aggregations of juvenile reef fish sheltering within the hull frames
Frequent encounters with chevron barracuda patrolling the water column above
