Dive-site story
Situated within the Samae San archipelago, Koh Rong Khon is a small rocky islet surrounded by granite boulders and coral slopes. The site is sheltered during parts of the tidal cycle but experiences shifting water movements through the island passage. Underwater, fields of sea anemones blanket the shallower rocks, while deeper sectors give way to whip corals, barrel sponges, and gorgonian fans anchored among massive stone formations.
Extensive boulder piles creating shelter for resting bamboo sharks and groupers
Dense carpets of sea anemones occupied by diverse anemonefish species
Gorgonian sea fans and whip corals populating deeper boulder bases
