Dive-site story
Situated just off the eastern coastline of Koh Lipe, Koh Usen is an islet fringed by sloping hard coral reefs and granite rock clusters. The shallows feature extensive beds of branching staghorn corals and sea anemones that transition into sandy patches where bottom-dwellers hunt. Because of the sheltered topography and easy navigation along the reef contour, dive operators frequently use the site for refresher dives, training sessions, and relaxed night excursions.
Extensive anemone fields housing several clownfish varieties along the shallow reef top
Granite boulder formations draped in soft corals and harboring macro subjects
Calm conditions suitable for night diving with hunting crustaceans and cephalopods
