Dive-site story
Located off Koh Bangu in the northern reaches of the Similan archipelago, this site features a sloping hard coral reef that drops into a sandy seabed dotted with granite boulders. Immense aggregations of schooling fish hover along the reef contour, seeking shelter among staghorn corals and sea fans as pelagics pass in the blue.
Massive, swirling schools of blue-striped and checkered snappers hovering above the coral
Expansive fields of staghorn and table corals transitioning to open sand flats
Sheltered conditions that make for relaxed drift dives along the eastern flank
