Dive-site story
South Reef extends along the southern flank of Koh Tachai, offering a more sheltered alternative to the island's exposed northern pinnacle. Sloping fields of hard coral give way to scattered granite boulders and a sandy floor where bottom-dwelling species rest. Currents sweep past the southern tip, attracting pelagic fish to hunt along the reef edge.
Leopard sharks resting on open sand patches along the reef base
Expansive coral slopes populated by schooling snappers and fusiliers
Passing pelagics including giant trevally and hunting barracuda along the current line
