Dive sites in Tunisia

Situated beneath the dramatic cliffs of northeastern Lampedusa near the lighthouse point, Capo Grecale Nord offers quintessential Pelagie Islands topography. Divers descend along stepped limestone shelves that transition into fractured boulders and steep offshore drop-offs, surrounded by excellent Mediterranean clarity. The exposed headland catches open sea currents, drawing schools of pelagic predators along the perimeter.

Located off the southern coast of Lampedusa, La Madonnina centers around a submerged bronze statue of the Virgin Mary placed in a protected natural alcove. Divers descend over white sand patches punctuated by limestone boulders and expansive Posidonia seagrass meadows. The surrounding reef features small caverns and overhangs that harbor Mediterranean reef fish accustomed to divers.

Lampione is a solitary, uninhabited rocky islet in the Pelagie archipelago, rising sharply out of deep open water. Underwater, sheer limestone walls plunge to a boulder-strewn seabed, bathed in exceptional Mediterranean visibility. The remote outpost is renowned across Europe for seasonal aggregations of sharks cruising the perimeter drop-offs alongside pelagic schools.

Situated along the rocky coast of Lampedusa, Punta Cappellone features dramatic limestone drop-offs, swim-throughs, and scattered boulders sitting over sandy plains. The site offers high-clarity Mediterranean water with walls covered in sponges, false corals, and bryozoans. Pelagic hunters sweep past the point in search of baitfish while territorial reef species shelter in the fissures.

Located along the rugged northern coast of Lampedusa, Taccio Vecchio centers on an expansive underwater cavern and natural arch system cut into the limestone cliff. Daylight streams through multiple openings in the cavern roof, illuminating sandy corridors and boulder-strewn swim-throughs before the seabed slopes outward into open Mediterranean blue water.
