Dive-site story
Located off the coast south of Marmaris, this site takes its name from a historic iron anchor resting on the seabed. The underwater terrain transitions from shallow coastal ledges into a boulder-strewn slope bordered by Posidonia seagrass meadows. Rocky crevices and overhangs provide shelter for classic Mediterranean reef life, with conditions typically sheltered from strong offshore swell.
